We are seeking a detail-oriented

Purchasing Assistant (or Logistics Assistant)

to join our team in

Bradenton, FL

. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a proactive and organized individual with experience in reviewing purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.

Candidates must reside in Bradenton or Sarasota, FL, as relocation is not available.

Pay Rate:

$18 - $20/hr (based on experience)

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Review and cross-reference purchase orders for accuracyUpdate systems with shipping details and supplier communicationsInput purchase order information into the system and issue POsTrack and expedite purchase orders under directionFacilitate the purchasing of non-inventory products and raw materialsMaintain and administer purchasing processes to ensure accuracyObtain quotes, purchase materials, and handle billing processesCommunicate effectively with suppliers regarding order issues and follow-upsEnsure attention to detail with confirmation files and documentationMaintain address and item records in the purchasing systemImprove purchasing tools, processes, and procedures

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and balance short- and long-term tasksAdaptability in a fast-paced, changing environmentStrong time management and ability to multitaskProficiency in data entry and general computer skillsExperience with Microsoft Excel and OutlookEffective written communication skills for supplier correspondenceFamiliarity with purchasing systems and business processes
