Production Supervisor or Production Manager - Food/Flavors/Extracts (Bradenton, Fl)

Our client is a smaller but rapidly growing ingredient/extract manufacturer based in Bradenton, Florida. Due to a recent growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor/Manager (titledepending on experience) with food manufacturing experience. The company recently merged with another company and they have plans to expand production over the next 12 months at this smaller facility but growing plant

The Production Supervisor provides guidance and direction to about 6-8 employees. Additionally, the Production Supervisor monitors the total product flow, trouble shoots equipment and monitors maintenance, and ensures shift communication and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make solid decisions pertaining to product quality, department safety, and department efficiency.
Facilitate employee training and hold employees accountable for their responsibilities.
Monitor all aspects of the department including product testing, equipment operations, and employee actions.
Take accurate product inventories and schedule employees to meet production needs.


REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food/ingredient manufacturing.
Must be local and able to work in Bradenton, Fl
Have excellent time management skills.
Must have knowledge and experience with HACCP, GMP, CIP/COP, PPE.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
Proven ability to work closely with others to achieve a common goal.
Good mechanical skills.
Have leadership and people management skills.
