Job Summary:

We are looking for an HL7 Interface Analyst with HL7 hospital implementation experience. Will be responsible for the implementation and support of interfaces between workstations and laboratory facilities.

Responsibilities:

You will perform and facilitate testing and support and provide overall project leadership to ensure that hospital and physician workstation interfaces conform to the HL7 standards.
You will be responsible for multiple implementations or conversion projects.
Participate in information gathering for interface requirements and provide project status updates.
Educates and directly interacts with the workstations to help them understand the benefits and limitations of their specific EMR/LIS-Interface during implementation.
Provide direct interaction with workstations and vendor designs and oversee the interface implementation project plan.
Providing communications such as go-live notices, support documentation, and operational checklists to our internal organization relative to any new changes to the existing interface.
Implementation of communication scripts and protocols to include VPN and frame and web services.
Provide 2nd/3rd tier support to EMR/LIS-Interface related problems.
Responsible for escalating implementation and support issues to appropriate people or groups for resolution and also providing post-implementation support.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE:

Hospital HL7 Implementation Experience.

Testing HL7 Interfaces.

Knowledge of LIS systems.



Required Technical Skills:

Requires 3 years plus experience in medical lab operations and/or IT functions.
Experience in a Hospital LIS system is ideal (Meditech, Cerner, Epic, etc.)
MUST have experience with Hospital Implementations.
Exposure to the clinical healthcare environment.
Working knowledge of testing life cycle, including accessioning, resulting, and report comparison.
Ability to understand HL7 standards and previous experience with message structure.
Proficiency in working with the Microsoft Office suite and familiar with Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
Familiarity with Access and commercial Integration Engine Product is a plus, including Cloverleaf and Rhapsody.
This position may require some travel.
